About Mindful Way Therapy

Mindful Way Therapy is a private group practice located in Seattle, WA in the heart of the University District. We offer individual and couples/family; autism and ADHD evaluations; and letters to support individuals seeking gender affirming care.

Mindful Way was started in 2020 under the name Mindfulway Psychotherapy, and rebranded in 2023 when Ryne, the practice owner, transitioned to a group practice. Since then, Mindful Way has expanded rapidly, serving more than 175 clients, many of whom are on Medicaid (Apple Health), with the support of 12 clinicians/interns (including Ryne).

Our practice focuses on working with neurodivergent individuals (autism and ADHD) and the LGBTQ+ community. Almost all of our staff identify as queer and/or neurodivergent, or have family members who are. While having one of these identities is not a requirement to work with us, we do seek out those who have these lived experiences, or have a passion to learn to support these communities.

About Ryne, the Owner and Supervisor at Mindful Way

Ryne is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (License #: LF61298129) in Washington State. Ryne graduated from NorthCentral University (National University) in 2019 and started his practice part-time while working in community mental health. In March 2022, Ryne went full-time in private practice, and became fully licensed in June of 2022.

In November 2023, Ryne's husband, McCall (LMHCA, Drama Therapist) joined Mindful Way as the first employee. This set in motion our focus on working with neurodivergent individuals. Ryne has personal lived experience as well as clinical experience and training in working with neurodivergent individuals

Ryne's training as an MFT has allowed him to view his clients holistically, and see them as part of a system, rather than just an individual. Ryne utilizes psychodynamic/attachment focused therapy as his primary modality, along with experiential therapy (Whitaker), Schema Therapy, and somatic based therapies.
